Diploma in Competitive Manufacturing Management  (NZQA Level 5, 120 credits)

Location: ROTORUA
(Dates:12-13 April, 14-15 June, 19-20 July, 11-12 Oct, 15-16 Nov, 13-14 Dec)
  
This course is presented in six 2 day workshop style modules over a period of 12 months and is registered on the New Zealand qualifications Authorityto framework at Level 5 (120 credits).  It is awarded to participants who satisfy the requirements in attendance, completion of work, extramural exercises and a special project to apply the learnings of the course to their business envirnoment.   The course is unique, in its structure.  It is essentially a practical rather than academic couse, delivered by experienced specialists in various fields of Manufacturing Management.   Registering students must be presently employed and have their enrolment into this programme approved by their manager.

Ideal for participants with time constraints.  Through the use of presentations and a simulation this course will introduce you to Lean Manufacturing in a fun and interactive workshop.  The emphasis is on learning by doing.  There are many opportunities for discussing how the principles apply to your work.  By the end of the workshop you will have experience the benefits that Lean practices can bring to your organisation.  While this particular presentation has an essentially manufacturing focus those in service industries will also find benefit.
  
Target audience:  People from organisations that are planning to, or are in the process of implementing lean practices.  Those affected by the change process from middle manaement through to administrators will gain significant benefits from attending this workshop.
