EastPack Ltd Benefits from LEAN Manufacturing Principles

Bay of Plenty kiwifruit post harvest service provider, EastPack recently reported that they are set to report increased revenues, earnings and profitability for the 2009-2010 financial year.  

EastPack have stated that "The introduction of LEAN Manufacturing Excellence in 2009 greatly improved efficiences and reduced waste with a 9 per cent reduction in total labour costs which was achieved through system and process improvements and not by reducing headcounts".

Milestone: 1000 participants attend Lean 4 x 4 courses

INTENT Group have been taking New Zealand organisations and their staff on the lean journey for over 6 years now and recently hit a significant milestone of over 1000 participants having attended a Lean 4 x 4 2 day Introductory programme.   The feedback recieved from students over this time has been extremely positive.

Open for Business: South Island Office

INTENT is continuing to grow their capabilities New Zealand, with now a Christchurch Office.  Consultant Scott McKay has recently joined the team at INTENT and will be our Christchurch presence.  Scott is currently working part time with Pike River Coal on a Logistics Management Project.
