Childrens_Healthcare_Atlanta_Logo

Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta is one of the United States' leading paediatric healthcare providers with over half a million patients per year.  Stephanie Winterling, INTENT Consultant, worked under a $31M (USD) federal grant to Georgia Tech's Healthcare Performance Group to study and improve processes at the hosptials in the Atlanta area.

Most of her work focused on risk reduction around high alert medications.  By working closely with nurses to break down the processes around the 5 Rights of Medication Safety, her team was able to reduce the risk of medication errors while making the process easily learned and followed.
